Today (July 29, 2024), SSE Composite Total Return Index (上证综合全收益指数; SSE TR; 000888)12 is displayed real-time for the first time3.

  • High: 3208.78
  • Low: 3186.23
  • Volume: ￥260.095 billion

To my understandings, previous SSE Composite Index (上证综合指数; SSE; 000001)4 is a price index (PI), whereas this SSE TR is a total return index (TRI). The relation between which resembles that of S&P 5005 and S&P 500 TR6, but not exactly the same, because SSE and SSE TR have different selection criteria and hence constituents.
